Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

You provide: email address, YouTube display name, and — if you sign in with Google — your Google profile name, email, picture, and account ID.

Collected automatically: IP address (fraud prevention), browser/device info, pages viewed and timestamps (daily visit streaks), cookies and session tokens, and referral code usage.

From third parties: when you claim an entry action, we look up publicly visible YouTube data (comments on the video, public like counts). We do not access your private YouTube account data.

2. How We Use Your Information

To run the giveaway (verify entries, track points, draw winners), notify winners, prevent fraud, and send required communications (login links, entry confirmations, winner notifications). We do not sell your data or use it for marketing without your separate opt-in consent.

3. Sharing

We share limited data only with service providers under contract: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Google (sign-in + public YouTube data lookups), Resend (email delivery), and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot prevention). We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Cookies

We use cookies for session management, security (CSRF), and anti-fraud. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

Active user data is kept while your account exists. Entry records are kept 12 months after a campaign ends. Winner records are kept 7 years for tax/reporting compliance. Inactive accounts are deleted after 24 months.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal information, and opt out of marketing. Email jeff@sammyguru.com from your account address. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children

The site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, an encrypted database, and limited access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site at least 7 days before taking effect.
